Hide and Seek

The Masks We Wear

God asks this question in Jeremiah 23:24: "Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?" During the study we examine three Bible characters. Adam tried to hide from God; David hid from himself; and Judas wore a mask in front of his friends. We then change direction and try to determine what it means when God told Jeremiah in chapter 29, verse 13, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Our desire is to be able to say as the psalmist did, "You are my hiding place."
